What with the closure of S.J. But the excellent work of Dopazo opening this message board. And the excellent work of Korupt with his new message board and download site. Now Zigs has a new download site. zigs.proboards57.com/index.cgiThings are looking up for all us Bowie fans worldwide. Thanks to all. T.J.N.

Is there anything there worth looking at? Without registering, it just looks like a forum to support their torrents...

I must admit, I always like to 'try before I buy', so I dislike sites you have to register for before you can see what's going on..

Zigs has broken away from JBT. "Man with a gun, the rules do not apply". New site, new rules. Seed as much as you can, is the only rule, so far as i can see. mmmm the only thing i know we all are not keen on is the audio is mp3 due to the fact that they use there own CPU's and don't have a true server. Looks good. IMHO. "Don't be so suspicious" T.J.N.

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of "Same old thing in brand new drag..." Seems a little more appropriate if we're considering the content. Cheers, Goblin.

lol Maybe Go-Blinking. But there are a couple of dvd's that aren't available anywhere else for download. "Stars In Your Eyes" and "Cologne 2003" Reality dvd's. Plus they have a lot of new audio that i haven't seen else where. (Shame it is mp3). But don't get me wrong. I thought it was worthy news. And good news to boot.

Amen! can't some of these places at least let you see some of whats being torrented before you give out your email address? (it's just a little rant...but it's mine! ) HB

seems like the same stuff that was previously available on JBT, uses the same address for torrents. I haven't tried to get one to see if its an Azureus based download only still.

seems like they have a couple of interesting DVD's. Wembley 76, Montreal 83 and so on. Hopefully they are actually DVD and not converted from something else to DVD format. I am banned already there lol, without saying or posting one word. So if someone wants to follow up on this would be most welcome.

I wouldn't bother if I were you.
I haven't seen it, but I've been told the 76 thing is that hard on the eyes it's not worth looking at, and I expect that the montreal DVD would probably be a VCR to VCD then to DVD conversion, just like all of the Lucca, Stars, (which I have) and the other "unique" material over there. It's a pity they don't have somebody over there who can make a proper quality DVD, because SOME of the material would be worth it.
Cheers, Goblin.

yes its a shame that they dont torrent the actual proper DVD instead of reducing the quality in transfers and re-encoding. There was one I got from there before that if it were the proper DVD instead of something taken from the DVD then reauthored back into a DVD again would of been worth having. I do have part of that wembley show and yes its very bad, a collectors piece really not worth really watching.. Well nothing lost and nothing gained, back to thinking of what my next torrent offering will be....hmmmm maybe midnight special DVD or hmmm maybe something else.

The 76 thing is the most incredible video I have never seen (in terms of quality). Hard to believe it's really the Man on the screen ! I've seen part of Montreal 83, which I was downloading. Then I stopped the download.

Oh yes, the 76 dvd is incredible, I even told them at JBT, it looks like a ghost floating on the screen, you have to use your imagination to guess it's bowie...all this after nearly one month downloading, eheh...but why are you already banned Korupt? (LOL)

I'd actually forgotten that I purchased a VCR tape of the/a Montreal show. From what I can remember, David Bowie appears as a small, blinding spot of white against a greenish background. Were you able to tell whether it is similar? I must have bought the tape back in '83 or '84, and I don't expect it would be particularly rare, not that it's of any value anyway, but it would be nice to know... Cheers, Goblin PS... pierrot: By "incredible", I am assuming you mean "incredibly bad"?
